Update 8/11/14: This no longer works. When the ad loads, the screen becomes the blue Fantage loading screen and you can’t see anything. You either have to disable AdBlock and watch the ad, or keep AdBlock and refresh the page. Since the ad is only like 30 seconds, help Fantage by disabling AdBlock on their domain. It makes nearly no difference to you, but I’m sure it gives them a lot of money!
I’ve been wanting to post this ever since the Cosmic Bingo got released, since I heard many complaints from Nonmembers about the ads getting in the way. So here it is!

Correction: Premium Members and smart Nonmembers get no ads 😉 Here’s how.
Part 1: Get the AdBlock Extension
If you don’t know how to download AdBlock, click here for a post on Fantageville’s BlogSpot blog for instrucitons.
Part 2: Play Ad-Free on Fantage
Already, you will notice that the ads on the right and bottom of the playing window are gone. Yay!
When you’ve played games a couple times, you will notice that if you try and play again, the loading screen gets stuck at 99%
This is because an ad is trying to play, but can’t, because of AdBlock. Most people just log out after this, since you can’t exit. But you can!
Keep pressing Tab on your keyboard until the yellow box is around something you can see. Here are some examples:
It can be anything: a sign in the background, the exit, the buttons on the top of the screen, a button for the game (Yes, No, or High Scores). It doesn’t really matter what it is.
Then, press Enter on your keyboard and close whatever just opened. If nothing happened when you pressed Enter, keep pressing Tab and choose something else.
Now, try and play your game, and it will work!
If you are unable to do this or you don’t understand my explanation, comment. Maybe someone else’s explanation will help you. Or, I can make a video if a lot of people don’t get this.

I’ve gotten so used to it that it’s weird going on other computers that don’t have AdBlock and seeing ads!

When the loading stuck at 99% i quickly open new tab… And sometimes it show “sorry, currently no ads to watch” or something like that… It works for me XD

OMG. Do you know what you just did for all the people who need ads to keep their websites running? You just took out a portion of their revenues. Honestly, how do you think crunchyroll gets the money it needs to be allowed to put the animes on their sites? That’s right, ads or membership. And the youtubers too. The way they buy costumes or props for their videos is from the money ads get them. You could have just stuck to saying that this works for ads on fantage, but now the whole internet has to pay. Do you even consider the ramifications of your actions? I know that everyone doesn’t read this blog, but a significant amount of people do.

And seriously, I’m just telling people about an extension that was created years ago, that millions of people already use. Your message should be for the creators of AdBlock, not me. And it’s not like I even made that much of a difference, so many people already use it, like I said.

Dude most people already have AdBlock, the purpose of this post is the second part. I just added the first part about AdBlock because when you blog, you have to be thorough.
I might add at most (and this is stretching it) 10 people to the list of 8 million that are already using it??
Besides, some sites are able to force the user to disable adblock on their domain, or some parts of the site won’t function. You probably don’t know this since you sound like you don’t have adblock (and it would be very ironic if you did), but you can choose to disable it for a domain, in order to help the site earn money from ads.

Ads themselves don’t earn sites money. It’s people that click on ads that give sites money. I dunno about you, but I have always ignored ads, with or without adblock.
Adblock doesn’t make a difference if you’re the type of person that never clicked on ads anyway.

I can’t download anything without my dad’s permission, and he would say no… but what i would do is just ignore the ads. There will always be a skip ad button (trust me). Anyways, I hope you might agree to do this……..Also..uhm…..my computer program (lubuntu) isn’t good at downloading stuff like generators and stuff…sorry to make this so long

Its the same for earning ecoins, I had adblock for a long time and when ever i tried to earn ecoins i never knew why. Then, like only just a month ago I found out i have to disable adblock on fantage… Just saying remember to disable it if you earn ecoins! I know its really dumb to mention this since most people would have the brain to know why it wont load but I never actually thought about why it didn’t load, so remember!

I do that as well even in other places that don’t have ads, like when I go into Vintage and it gets stuck loading up the items. I just walk out and then straight back in with arrow keys 🙂

My computer receives ads and new tabs whenever an ad appears. It quiet annoying. I have to admit, the first few weeks with it was petrifying. Everyone and then when I open fantage, a rude advertisement shows up. It’s awfully rude. You know guardian angels? A super rude picture. Then I enlarged my viewing and it worked like a charm! The ad cannot be viewed unless you scroll down of course but otherwise, it was perfect.

I have had AdBlock for ages and it worked great, but recently I figured that when I log onto Fantage, I have to pause Adblock and wait for the blue box to come up, then quickly Unpause again to get rid of side-ads, or else the screen is just blank. Plus, I had Adblock on and I played a few games and I got ads, 2 times??!! Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

Theres something new now. Whenever an ad tries to play, adblock blocks it. But you cant really get out of it since you cant use tab anymore on the screen. It’s all blue, like the loading page when you log in or go somewhere on the map.

Yep, if you use Adblock, those are gone, but you won’t be able to play more than 5 games or so in a row since it forces yiou to watch an ad 😦

For me, every two games I play the loading blue screen pops ups. I had to log on 3 times to complete one chip in Cosmic Bingo.
