Well, for one, SCAMMING WILL STOP! So HA to angelwish12, erikaemerald, and all those other TERRIBLE demons scammers.
Two, the value of items will stop plummeting! Have you noticed that beta items have only been worth a FRACTION of what they used to, because of people just giving them away? And then there’s those people that sell rare items for OUTRAGEOUSLY low prices.
Three, along the same lines of scammers, there will be no more money scammers who sell their items through PayPal/Amazon and trick you by not giving the items to you. I’m actually in the middle of one of these right now with this girl _pot_, who actually has the nerve to ignore all my emails after I paid her almost 3 weeks ago. Good thing it was only $5. Never EVER trust her.
Four, getting rid of trade n sell will mean ridding SO much drama. And I can get rid of a lot of clutter on this blog, like the Trade Your Stuff page that has like a million comments, the scammers page that has like 2 million comments, and all those other pages about being scammed and how to prevent it.
I think Fantage is really making a turn for the better. It is the dawn of a new age!!

Well, if it’s harder to get ecoins and stars, then they’ll start increasing in value back it its regular amount. I remember back when Trade n Sell never existed, 50,000 stars was a LOT. Now it’s barely anything.
Vintage Gold will probably have a downfall, but at least scamming will be gone. Hopefully.

I’ve used swagbucks, but they force you to give them either your phone number or home address to verify stuff. So if you’re comfortable with that, then you can try, but I didn’t want to give them my personal info.

I don’t know how to feel… Trade and Sell was the ONLY way that I could get rid of my expired premium member items for a good deal…but then again no more scamming…but then now I can’t get good deals on items…how will the prizes for future contests be given? :O Hopefully this new shop will be somewhat better. Fantage should try to IMPROVE Trade and Sell instead of getting rid of it. A good way I thought of was to let users trade with each other, BUT you don’t see the username of the person you are offering a trade/buying from. This way, you don’t know whose item is whose, and nobody gets scammed-what do you think?

I’m thinking along the same lines now too, getting rid of it is going to change a lot of things…
I think we should just be able to trade starred and ecoined stuff interchangeably. People always argue that ecoined stuff is worth more than starred stuff, but if SO many people are making ecoin-star trades, then obviously there are circumstances where they are worth about the same. If they were never worth the same, then people would never double trade.

I wish they wouldn’t close Trade N’ Sell. We can’t get good items now, and even if Vintage sells them, they won’t be worth much. I guess this doesn’t really apply to you since you have a lot of good items already 🙂 We also can’t get stars and ecoins fast, so we’ll have to buy them with real money. We can’t trade at all! It’s fine if people don’t choose to risk getting scammed. I’m really really really going to miss Trade N’ Sell. I spend all my time on Fantage there, trying to get good items. Trading is actually pretty fun!

I’m kinda glad, yet also very angry. Why? Well yes I agree. LOTS LESS DRAMA *claps* But, I am a non member. I don’t buy eCoins. What about those people that are like me? We only get eCoins by selling things. What really should happen is taking off trading, bringing vintage gold AND keeping the selling of trade and sell. That way if you are a non-member, you can still sell things and the vintage gold will bring back old items. Either way, some items will plummet because they will vote for old items being brought back. I’m sure at least ONE item will be brought back, and that might be tire board or piano board (flat one, not limited). They might even bring back limited items for a while! They did by selling them in trade and sell, so what makes it not happen in this new version of selling? I do believe the trading should be cut off entirely. If you get hacked, some (or even one) of your beloved items will be gone. Without trading, it’s harder to do so because if you buy it, there’d be a certain limit for selling lowest, and they might not have it. Even if they do, you’ll still have the chance of taking it off AND the hacker might not get it. Someone else might see it, and at least the stupid jerk who hacked you won’t.

Well…I’m a non too, but I have 6 or 7 side accounts where I raise ecoins & trade them to my main account. I hope Vintage Gold will still let us trade and maybe even let nons trade starred items.
Btw, have you noticed that Fantage is giving us less and less ecoin earning opportunities? It took me 10 days to raise up 1,400 ecoins when 3 months ago I could have gotten the same amount in 5 days.

Well there is good and bad to it. The only reason I am sad that trade and sell is going to disappear is that I won’t be able to get ecoins or stars quickly when I need them anymore. But I guess I am looking forward to vintage coming. But I keep thinking why can’t vintage come sometime in October when i’m still a member so I can buy something first to be satisfied before I can’t?

I just went to Trade and Sell to check the notice my self and I just chacked if people are selling their items for less because soon, Trade n Sell will be gone and they want to get rid of the item fast! I checked, and the price is still high! But there’s usually only 8 pg for Limited, Sell, eCoins and this time, there’s twelve!

I’m really happy this happened. I actually did a really crazy quick celebration after finding this out (a crazy dance, stuffing chocolate in my mouth..). I went on after a few months to find that everything is completely crazy in there. Trade n sell and scamming is why I quit fantage.. I lost cc, one tattoo, beta pink bow. 😦
Now that it’s all going away, I’m coming back. ^^

I’m actually pretty sad that Trade n’ sell is going to close. Transferring ecoins from one account to another will be a disadvantage for my upcoming years in fantage. Not to mention some people won’t get to get profit from it by selling their stuff. Many cheap items are in this shop so it will be a feature I will miss. Hopefully Fantage will bring it back in the future with a greater development. 🙂 Hoping the new shops will have some new items for non-member.

I actually was thinking about something. What if they like use one of those “bringing back old items” week sales? So, lets say they are going to sell BB hair for a week. It’s unlimited quantity but you know only people could purchase it if they we’re there to buy it. Though, probably like a few months later they have the sale again so people who couldn’t get it last time could get it that time and so on. Maybe there’s always a special week sale every week. Idk, but this is what I think fantage should do for vintage gold. :3

I feel like Fantage could have solved all of this scamming by just allowing coined items to be trading for starred items. People always argue that it wouldn’t work, since coined stuff is worth more than starred stuff, but if SO many people are trying to make that trade, then obviously they don’t care that it’s worth more.

And my friend, who has been playing Fantage longer than me, said that there used be a shop called Vintage where Trade and Sell is now. Now that Trade and Sell will be gone soon, will users not be able to trade and sell expired items anymore? I hope Fantage opens a store where we can buy, sell, and trade things to other users.

Yes, but imagine if, for example, you had frisky hair and you had to pay 100,000 ecoins to get it last month. Then, Fantage brings back frisky hair at Vintage Gold and sells it for only 5,000 ecoins. It would be extremely unfair to you, since you had to pay 200 times as much as everyone else.
So the whole problem of bringing back really good items is that it’s unfair to the people who had to work hard to get it in the past.

I highly doubt any items they bring back will stay the same value. I bet they’d decrease if brought back.

I’ve only been a member since this may(2013) and I’ve gotten brown BB4 times and sold it all 4 times. had Secretary and Blonde and Red intriguing and stuff. now I fancy violet dress and the pink star pin ( not the pink and peachy colored one. the hot pink one.) and stuff.

an Admin told me we could only Vote for retired stuff, which means no rares, or polar bear hat. only limiteds and vintage stuff. I agree that it will be harder to get eCoins, I wish fantage could have just made it a place to sell your stuff and buy stuff. I’m kinda glad that Vintage Gold is coming because most of the drama will be gone, because people will vote for all their favorite items as in bb cc frisky etc. and they won’t be asking everyone for their items
until they get what they want. AND all the scamming and hacking and scammers transferring stuff will be gone! these are my thoughts, everybody has a different opinion on Vintage Gold. Oh, goodness I can’t believe Vintage Gold is coming TOMORROW!!!!!

I am happy and sad. I won’t get to buy cheap stuff anymore…. I bought the awesome hair for like 1260 ecoins. And the Purple dress for the same price. LOL. It was so cheap…. Now Fantage is going to sell it for like 3,000 ecoins. The good thing is that THERE ARE GOOD NON MEMBER ITEMS. It is still outrageous that they sell things for SUCH high prices for nons!!! No more scamming. Thank god THAT happened… There was this EVIL person that scammed my red jewel board.. I MISS IT SO MUCH!!!

The part about items plummeting has become sadly the opposite…. no items are worth anything now. I don’t really think I know anyone who buys anything at VG nowadays…. after they sold all the big leagues, everyone deserted it. They need to realize that- Trade ‘n’ Sell may be the bane of our existence, but if we all made sure NOT to double trade, they would maybe make up the damage done by that awful Vintage.
