How to Screenshot

Last updated by MooMoo on 1/28/14: updated entire page

It is impossible for me to provide instructions on how to screenshot for every single computer/laptop/phone/tablet in existence. If your device was not listed on here, simply GOOGLE IT!! That’s how I found all of these, it’s not that hard!

PC (Windows)

Windows 8

Windows 7

General

Mac (Apple)

Mac OS

Macbook

iPhone

iPad

Samsung/Android

Samsung Galaxy or Android

Chrome Book

  1. Lolz, I didn’t know that so many people didn’t know how to take screen shots!
I have the exact same Power Point as you but I use Paint.
But usually if I wanna add images on top of one another or crop them or add effects etc I usually use Microsoft Word 2010
EPIC how you took a vid of a slideshow!

  15. I have a tip for people with Microsoft Powerpoint 2013. On the insert tab, they have this thing saying screenshot. Click and choose one of your open windows and it will be on the slide! Then you can right click on it and click save as picture!

  21. The Mac does not have the button but I use my phone anyway. To people who have a Mac and phone, on your phone, install puffin. Next, go to whatever website because puffin has adobe. Screenshot by pressing home and off or volume and off. Go to paint or instagram. Crop it by uploading it and change the size to how you like. Email it to yourself XP And get it on your laptop. VOILA!

  24. You don’t have to download an app for android phones. Press the power button and volume down button at the same time. You have to hold them for about 2 seconds.

  29. For androids you don’t have to download an app, all you have to do is press the home button and the lock button. I’m not sure if this works on all androids but I think it’ll work for most.

I was just wondering, usually when I take a screenshot and crop it. The picture seems so small. Then when I resize it, you can kinda see the pixels. Can you give any tips for this? -Erica

When I take a screenshot i just press the Print Screen/SysRq button on my keyboard, then open Paint and paste it there. Then I can just save the picture. I used to do this all the time when I was four and it still works!
