Tricks for Everyone:
1. Emoticons list
Go to an XAT chat ROOM (e.g. xat.com/fantageville) and click on this
A list of a LOT of emoticons will appear on the left. Just click on any of them to use them!
You can also put them in your name (most people already know this)
2. How to add XAT to your sidebar (WordPress)
3. Make your text look like a cuss
Update 12/22/13: Many people were abusing this trick and using it to call each other “circle.” New users who do not know this trick will get the impression that cussing is allowed, when it really is not. I don’t know what smart aleck came up with this insult “circle,” and I have therefore banned this fake cuss trick. Do not use it, or you will be kicked and banned for 1 hour on the third time by the bot.
Type <sow before your text to make it look like a cuss word
Type <s2s before your text to make the cuss-coverup blue.
Tricks for XAT Guests:
1. Click here to make your name fancy. ℓιкє тнιѕ! тєєнєє!
Go to any XAT chat and click on your name…
2. Click here for a list of all the XAT avatars.
Find the one you want, and remember the number…
Go to any XAT chat and click on your name…
Tricks for XAT Owners:
1. Type in /sMessage here to make a scrolling message under your chat!
2. Put a $ in front of your name to appear as a guest to viewers, so you can ban the bad people!
(Before)
Click on your name to change it, add $ to the beginning
(After)
You will see the $ in front of it, but to others, it will appear as if you are a normal guest! They will NOT see the $.
3. Use the XAT search engine to see what people say on your chat word-for-word

this was really helpful with the chat box I didn’t know how to make it at first, but now the box is like very squished and you have to keep scrolling sideways. How can I make it bigger?

Yes, most themes do that. You can’t do anything about it, besides either changing the theme, or putting the chat on a page instead of the sidebar.

Actually, please go to the Report an XAT user page for directions on how to send a correct report. Just giving us an id will not work, since we have no evidence of what he said, or if the id is right.

Hey moomoo. I have a question. How do i get to be an owner again on my chat box? First, it shows me as an owner (The orange icon), Then after i go to another chat i come back to MY xat chat then it shows me as a guest only. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Yes, that sometimes happened to me too! You have to sign in to xat.com that’s all, once you have an account. I forgot how to make one, so good luck…

Yes, you could either type in “/s” then leave no text after it, or just wait a couple days, since it isn’t permanent.

THAT HAPPENED TO ME TO! Only when I pretend I`m a guest! After I put the dollar sign, $, I`m a “guest.” But after I remove it from my name, I`m still a guest! Then I refreshed a couple of times~ I then created a NEW CHAT BOX link and became the owner again. I also realized there`s a (x) button after everybody`s chat message. I clicked on it and poof! There goes the message! So I decided to do that instead. Plus, I don`t really get much chatters, anyway… Lol. P.S – Should I put that “Xat Tricks” banner up since I did make a page like this a few months ago..?

You’re xat box,is REALLY rude. Yesterday I was online on you’re xat box.
And the moderator (or whatever is it called) was calling me and others b*tches and stuff,and she/he was really rude. It’s nickname starts with Kiss word. So please,do something for it. That is really kind of rude.

I don’t know what you mean by removing comments, but to hire a mod, you just click on the and click “Make moderator”

It’s called banning, you click on the and click ban, then type in the number of hours you want to ban them for.

Never worry about being a tattle tale, that word was invented by losers who don’t want to take responsibility for their actions and instead intimidate other people to hide them 🙂
I can’t ban them though, if they’re offline. Best thing to do is wait until a mod comes on after a person breaks the rules. If they come on soon enough, their name could still be in the chat list and the mod can ban them from there.

Even if you report the user that’s being bad on XAT and then ban them they will probably just make another account and then do it again and again… I think

I can’t believe I am so much alike with Casey! My name is Angela, and I am ABC too (cause of my mom). I love drawing, but hate coloring. I care of my grades (sorta), but not really on Chinese stuff.
